I remember both the good and the bad very well. There are reasons why I loved you and reasons why we are no
longer together. I am grateful for what you did and not so much for how much more you said you would do. You
set up those expectations. I wouldn't come up with anything like that on my own.
If you give someone a $100 they should feel happy and grateful. If you give it to them after you promised a
$1000, which led them to accumulate expenses in that amount, they may feel a little differently..
