It went very well. The evening was a big success until the review by Ben Brantley in the New York Times today.
He panned everything about the show except for Cheech the mobster. I found the review by him kind comical in
it's all sweeping and relentless negativity. He didn't like the costumes, the set, the acting, the choreography, the
writing, did I leave out anything? I feel he went out of his way to be mean especially to Susan Stroman who did
a wonderful job. That put a damper on things. I feel Ben Brantley is consummately wrong all the time and
today's review was no exception. Fortunately the other reviews were quite good.
