I know you understand that I have been completely uninvolved with the issue of legal fees relating to my representation. I don't think that you and I ever even spoke about it. I always thought that you and Darren were working together directly on all billing matters. Although I was quite shocked at the very large balance on the first bill that you sent me in December 2017, I referred the bill to Darren and asked him to resolve it with you directly. I did the same immediately for the additional bills you sent me. Again, I was under the impression you guys had been in communication on it the whole time. Maybe if I had seen regular bills or they had been shared with him sooner we could have avoided this uncomfortable situation for all of us. I think you are right about you both having different views relating to your billing, but that is really not something I have any experience or knowledge about; I had never seen a lawyer's bill in my life before this. Knowing what it should or shouldn't be is way beyond my understanding. I do understand completely that you will not be able to continue to represent me and I am working on getting another lawyer. I really appreciate your willingness to work with your replacement to make sure I am properly represented, and I will let you know as soon as I find someone I feel comfortable with.
