Pictured below is fwd airstair motor in black and light gray unit is the transmission w/broken ear mount.,
I will bring the motor to DC Motor shop by PB1 airport on Monday and attempt to have rebuild / repair of
motor., the broken ear mount I'll attempt to have welded the missing ear.,
The door retaining pin to lock the door in place while these components are removed is not working properly.,
it's a simple pin that locks the door in place, it's not long enough and is not contacting the door., it appears this
pin was never working properly since its install in 1990.,
As long as I can get motor repaired this week we should be fine and airstairs will work., even if I'm not
successful repairing the ear with a weld, the transmission has other mounting points to hold in place. This piece
has most likey been broken for a long time.
The door is a plug type and cabin differential holds door shut.
