The story, in brief, is that after four years operating as a proprietary capability inside Winton, we have separated our data science human-in-the-loop unit — Hivemind Technologies — into a standalone company, and appointed a management team. Winton will remain a customer of Hivemind's services, but we believe there is real potential for this to be a big business in its own right if it is allowed to offer its capabilities to other firms, both in the financial services sector and beyond. The team already has external (non-Winton) customers, and the pipeline is strong. Hivemind is now looking to raise money to build the business and consolidate their independence from Winton, and is meeting with potential investors. I attach the pitch deck and recent news clippings - if you think it looks sufficiently interesting to merit meeting the Hivemind CEO, I'd be pleased to set that up.
