Ortalis Concrete has had multiple issues that have caused this delay, yesterdays big issue was them not showing up to barge pick-ups on schedule, sometimes 1-2 hours late. The biggest today one is that both of their self mixing trucks came into their yard last night broken down around 10 pm. This morning they are being repaired and computers are being re-calibrated and I am told they will be up and running this afternoon. If they are not on island today we will have to push back until Monday. As long as they are running properly we can get them onto the island in the late afternoon and ready from an early Saturday morning pour. If we start at 7 am pouring and these trucks can produce the 15 yards an hour I am promised by Ortalis we will be done with the concrete and cleaned up around 2 pm.
