Greetings Rich, These are my real thoughts: I. I believe her crews were booked for this week. But I cannot believe they were not aware of a 24 inch difference within the 4 palms. The invoice states 20 feet clear trunk. We discussed on several phone calls before the deal was sealed what JE wanted, and where the palms were being installed. We even discussed the height of the Cabanas with Melissa. We emphasized having matching palms. Melissa must have known the palms were not perfect matches - even if the 2 that are 12 inches shorter than the third one falls within some "parameter" of matching, the fourth one that is 24 inches taller is a significant difference 2 feet on 20 feet is noticed. 2. When did WE realize the palms did not match - on the rack, when they were off-loaded and standing planted on the beach, or once they were hauled up the hill? 3. Why did JE only find out AFTER Brice instructed Chris to plant them to reflect the same height, which means 2 are planted too shallow, and 1 is planted too deep. EFTA01016298 4. On Friday we could have gotten Groundworks on the phone at once, FaceTime or at least asked questions. 5. On Saturday afternoon, what can we do? JE is blindsided. 6. Chris planted the palms the way he was instructed to by Brice. Did Brice read the instructions - Chris did - has Brice overseen the planting of palms - JE has, many many times. 7. Was Brice made aware that worrying about the appearance above ground - make them the same height - meant planting 3 of the 4 incorrectly and therefore was putting into peril the survival and/or healthy growth of those palms? Did he gather sufficient and pertinent information to make what I consider a managerial decision - without consulting JE? 8. JE heard from Chris about the palms - good news and bad - what did Brice report? Did he speak to JE BEFORE Chris did and not inform him that the palms were not matched AND that he had made a MANAGERIAL decision, without consulting JE, and against the HIRED contractor's protocol, to plant 3 palms incorrectly, so they APPEAR to match - or did JE hear a piece of very bad news from the hired contractor first.
