From: J <[email protected]> To: lvjet Subject: Re: Aircraft updates Date: Sun, 11 Nov 2018 04:10:12 +0000 landing gear. ok. wendys buyer is not serious. On Sun, Nov 11, 2018 at 4:22 AM Larry Visoski a wrote: Jeffrey, Some GIV / G550 scheduling ideas for you to think about., Since we are on 2 week hold with current buyer, we have some maintenace items coming due in December on the GIV, since we are only liable for Due items until closing. -we have Landing gear 48month corrosion inspection due Dec 31st, with Extension until January 15, 2019. Approx 2 weeks to complete, its 20 manhours each gear, labor, $10k+ estimate total, plus any parts needed, typically, these are high dollar parts (if needed), $15 - $25k+ a Big unknown. Pete is checking with Meridian Maintenance schedule, to see if we can accomplish this gear inspection in Teterboro soon, ***(anywhere other than a Gulfstream facility). Either way, this Gear inspection will effect the next buyer, the sooner we get this accomplished, the better off we are. Plus some extra due items in December, largest big dollar item being the Gear inspection. The open item in Westfield is the CVR "Cockpit Voice Recorder" Channel 1 imp, also, need to replace the CVR Cockpit Microphone. We have a 15 day grace period to fly without CVR working. Gulfstream Savanah has replacement CVR upgrade for $24k, our best option we are working, *** Gulfstream Westfield has an "As Removed" CVR for $3,500 that should work, as long as Gulfstream Westfield provide the necessary paper work to back up this Part. Pete is working on the best Economical solution I assume you will want to have the GIV ready to fly, when Eric gives you an interior slot to complete the G550 soon, so you are not without a plane. Also, since the Veneer is currently the Achilles Heal of the interior, and will be a concern of other prospective buyers, I was thinking if you would like to have the $45k Veneer repair work accomplished asap„ if the current buyer moves to close in the next 2 to 3 weeks, we could subtract the $45k from the $100k MAX you offered on the contract to the current for Un-Airworthy items. This way we are in perfect condition to reMarket the GIV (if Necessary), offering: 1-Fresh PreBuy accomplished by Westfield Gulfstream, 2-Fresh 10 year dual engine MidLife. 3-72 Month just completed. 4-Veneer looking its best. Do you have any interest in getting the Veneer addressed now? Landing gear inspection? Or wait? Just thinking ahead,. Thx, Larry .
