Dean specialized in the IT / Software 2) earls says that we have no true control over our network -> continuous bandaid patchwork has been done and current cisco and ruckus equipment is outdated.. -> cisco 3560 switches in use are over 10 years old.. 3) new systems needs to be documented and mapped as no one currently knows where anything is -> earl said Glidden and Brice were both very rude, unhelpful and also told him and liston thomas to bring their own water as they would not supply them (which they currently do for everyone else) -> when earl asked Glidden where manholes or fiber was located his response was i was not here so i cannot help you but here is a electrical finder tool you can use to try and locate...offered no assistance 4) currently Jermaine has no visibility to network -> earl says with new systems we will be getting updates and alerts of errors so they can easily be located and dealt with.. -> current network has no redundancy so if something breaks almost everything goes down.. -> earl goal for LSJ is that you will stay connected on wifi as you travel throughout LSJ 5) earl said he can band / aggregate our microwave and fiber so that we have bigger pipe 6) GSJ - current issue is that power is not stabilized -> once LSJ is setup the plan will be to send signal or run underwater cable or have both in place -> earl would like to have STC / LSJ / GSJ all connected for redundancy -> earl needs to walk GSJ and take GPS coordinates of buildings that will require wifi.. 7) this entire system will be built while current system is fully operational and once completed (4-6 months) they will unplug and switch over in the same day.. 8) total cost of 246,037.75 (does not include Gross Receipts tax, customs duties and shipping of equipment) -> i believe this number can be negotiated -> includes 10,000 of support and maintenance -> earl said equipment on quote is at their cost - i will have to verify as the few cisco items i looked up reflect that there prices are marked up 15-30% _> also fiber runs and GSJ equipment / labor needs to be added... after you have reviewed i will request that Earl revise his quote to include GSJ (may need some direction on areas for WIFI) and trenching new Fiber anywhere that is needed anything else that should be revised on attached quote? would you like meet earl on LSJ next week? please advise EFTA01018439 thank you Richard Kahn HBRK Associates Inc.
