I walked away from a great career where I was making $1.5MM a year, left $1.8MM worth of JPM stock on the table and 17 years of goodwill. I have been incredibly loyal to you and I don't think it is right that you try walk away from our agreement. The account is up $3.429MM since inception net of fees. I acknowledge that some of those gains came from inherited positions but we both agreed that I would be responsible for all performance going forward when we started last year. I always understood there were risks by making the move but our agreement never had a performance clause. I relied on this fact in making the decision to leave JPM. I proposed many different alternatives that seemed fair and reasonable. If you feel that none of those work then please propose a settlement that takes into account the remaining $1,125,000 due to me under our agreement. I would prefer to have the remainder of this discussion in person, and based on our history, I truly hope we can reaching an amicable compromise.
