We should receive the DU Display Unit tomorrow in Islip. Option 1 Keep the purchased Display Unit as a spare, We have changed one Display Unit in November in Savanah, this was our second unit to fail in 9 months. The other two remaining Display Units are original. Option 2 According to our purchase receipts we can return the purchased unit for a 15% ($12,000) restocking fee. Option 3 Try to sell the purchased Display Unit and recover the money. Since we are unable to upgrade to Extended HAPP coverage until Jan 2019 due to demand for Display Units on the G550 fleet, also, the extended Coverage will cost additional $18,000 per year to our current HAPP program, So far we have save $36,000 buy not enrolling in the extended coverage at HAPP inception. If we keep the Display controller that we purchased, we will save $18,000 per year, since we will not be forced to enroll in extended coverage yet. Pls advise if we should keep, return or sell the DU?
