We would love to see you, we miss you a lot, but the problem is that Noam has to teach right after our arrival. We have to stay until Oct. 8, because I have to vote -- in Brazil voting is mandatory. Perhaps you can come to spend some time with us and meet Noam's birthday gift -- a Brazilian parrot with the colors of the Brazilian flag (green and yellow) to whom I am teaching how to say "Language is a snowflake" and "Merge is basic" -- some of the important ideas of Noam's linguistic theory. Perhaps the parrot will have some discussions with Noam about language acquisition.
