Even though we have HAPP Avionics protection, the DU Tube we have installed has become obsolete„ requiring us to Upgrade to the Extended Coverage HAPP program for an additional $18k per year„ since this Extended coverage part is on Critical Back order, NO Tubes are available „, Honeywell will not allow any additional Extended coverage to be added this year. We have sent our Failed DU to Honeywell for Repair, with NO exact time for repair return to us, plus the fact, if our unit is BER "Beyond Economical Repair" we would have to wait Months for a upgraded Display Tube (DU) to become available. So we are forced to purchase, this last remaining Used "As Removed" DU tube outright that is on the market. If our unit is repaired and returned to us„ we can sell or keep as a spare, This is our 2nd failed tube, we had a Failed DU in November while at Gulfstream, and it was replaced at NO charges, since Honeywell luckily had a unit in stock. So, Jeffrey wants to keep the aircraft on schedule for deliver next week, Wednesday< JEE approved this purchase for $80k to the attached vender, Wire Transfer info is also attached,. If seller can confirm the Wire by 2pm tomorrow / Thursday, it will be Fedex from Kansas to Islip NY for Pete to install on Friday for operational check If possible can you request your approval from JE for this part, and get the wire out with tracking at your earliest convenience?
