Apartment settled and have new contractor to finish my existing apt. Then we will see about apartment next door. It's a total wreck, which is actually the good news. Real estate values has plummeted on the Upper East Side in co-ops. The young want downtown and could not care less about Co-Op boards. If I get the other apartment, I want it for $500,000 instead of the $900,000 the board think it's worth. It's on the fourth floor, in the back, dark and next door to the Red Door nursery school where the kids SCREAM in the playground. It is worthless as a one bedroom. Attached to my apartment it becomes half a floor with three bedrooms and two to three bathrooms and re-saleable.
