Jeffrey,
[=.
Your permit was originally submitted in January of 2017. There were some issues that had to be resolved and the application was
resubmitted in early February of 2018. Since that time the application has been sitting. We have requested status on the application but it
has not been acted upon.
You application like numerous application have been sitting because the CZM Committee has no agreed to met. We have had 1 meeting
since the hurricanes. Projects are backed up because the committee refuses to meet, and the CZM staff is caught in a terrible situation
They can't not truly move anything forward because it can't be approved.
There must be a quorum to have a CZM hearing and decision hearing, that requires at least 3 members of the S member committee. There
are only 3 sitting committee members on St. Croix, St. Thomas and St. John. We need to get five new members on each islands. The
CZM committee members are appointed by the governor and approved by the senate.
Many people don't like to go through the senate approval process.
Once permits start moving we should be able to get CZM to review and act on your permit.
