A granddaughter just came with a request for Noam to sponsor her husband, who is an immigrant in the US
through an affidavit of support (Form I-864) with the immigration.
Among the information required to be provided is income and assets.
Besides the financial responsibility for 10 years, if the person makes use of government assistance or has a
change of address and doesn't inform the government, the liability comes to the sponsor, who can have its assets
blocked by the government.
