From: "Jeffrey E." <[email protected]> To: Larry Visoski <IIMa> Subject: Re: Hanger Floor update Date: Tue, 05 Jun 2018 05:11:19 +0000 1 On Mon, Jun 4, 2018 at 9:22 PM Larry Visoski c wrote: Jeffrey I met with Sherwin Williams Commercial products store manager Darrell Belcher in Riviera Beach today, Here are the facts: -Current product on the hanger floor is Sherwin Williams Armorseal Rexthane, it's a strong product, great UV protection, Aircraft hanger floor approved, however coverage is only 3.0 -4.5mils thickness (not self leveling) its a paint. -Sherwin Williams recommends "General Polymer 3746 High Perf Epoxy", the specs sheet doesn't say "Self Leveling" but it has exact Mil coverage as their self Leveling Armorseal 650 SL/RC Epoxy which is not available. See spec sheet below„ The General Polymer 3746 has a mil spec coverage thickness of 10.0 - 30mil ( exactly the same as Armorseal 650. Disclaimer: Darrell The store manager informs, Self leveling Epoxy product is only good for floor imperfections up to 1/32" He suggested we use concrete patch to fill-in the large gaps, however what is really needed is a Concrete grinder, not for rent in St Thomas, The floor will not be perfect in any means and will have a slight improvement to what we have now, if you elect to apply the General Plymer 3746 Currently Brice informs he applied 20 gallons to the hanger floor, on I coat, and will apply another second coat next week„ If we use the Polymer Epoxy, we will apply 60 gallons to the floor in one coat„ since the applicators will use squeegees and pour the paint on the floor, them spread, they will roll it to get a finish coat 1-Should we purchase the General Polymer 3746 product Cost $4,821.96 for product and squeegees to apply 2-Or keep as is and apply 1 more coat of Brice's product?
