I have taught biology full time for 44 straight years and it is painful to have this vital role removed from me. Fortunately I have now stored all such addresses and mail and will up through the end of this month. It is a naturalist's paradise, with trees, birds and tree-climbing lizards being its specialty. But there is not another evolutionary biologist within 20 miles. I can't walk down the hall and ask a friend if she or he has heard that Neanderthal might have gotten herpes from us. I miss that.
