From: "Jeffrey E." <[email protected]> To: "John P. Woods" Subject: Re: Date: Tue, 22 Nov 2016 20:19:52 +0000 the gov and I have spoken about dpnr, i told him that i was at my wits end , being given rules , that jp makes up, ie not being able to land my helo as it is a protected cay, then a marine reserve , then a rookery. . i told him yesterday about the picnit tables and that drove hiim over the edge. i would like to have this resloved with as little problems as possible. They have cleary forgotten that their interpretation is bound by the fact that it must be in the public interest. . they cant say that addin a layer of stone , is a modification , and that they are concerned that i plant trees. so that i might leave less than 40 percent untouched. That's how I understood it when we spoke on the island, but I wasn't a 100% sure. If that is the case, it might beneficial if the Governor states that at the beginning of the meeting so these guys don't think you are running to him every time you have a problem with them. Additionally, I think we maneuvered them into stating we could ask the Commissioner to reconsider the 45 feet height restriction on the flagpole, particularly since the permit hasn't been fully executed as yet. It is clear to me the section referenced to limit the height appears to refer to attachments on a building than a freestanding pole. Hopefully the Commissioner can prevail with that. If not, go to Land Use & Appeals. JPW From: Jeffrey E. [mailto:jeevacSg i maitcom Sent: Tuesday, November 22, 2016 1:13 PM To: Erika Kellerhals; Cecile de Jongh; John P.
