He has a tight-knit crew of four who under his guidance run the water and every piece of machinery and vehicle for the island. His crew respects him greatly, and is without a doubt overall the hardest working crew on the island, who themselves run like well-oiled machines, being trusted to work hard even if Arran is away. He has taken a few men with little mechanic experience and taught and trained them to become experienced engineers. Arran himself is constantly cheerful and enthusiastic towards his job, taking pride in what he produces: whether it be great tasting water or a well running vehicle. He looks at problems as a challenge, makes decisions carefully and fairly, and weighs all of his options whether it is in regards to a purchase, an employee issue, or something he personally fixes. Arran's skills as an engineer constantly surprise everyone. He is known as the type of person that can look at any machine or appliance, whether or not he's ever seen it before, and be able to take it apart and understand it fully. In this past year Arran has headed up the upgrade to our new Reverse Osmosis system which he has adapted to quickly.
