Re:
Living Will
When we met with Alan Halperin on April 3rd, you were asked if you wanted to have a Living
Will in place. As you recall, I suggested that Paul Weiss send you a form of living will to help
you decide whether or not you wanted such a document.
To refresh your recollection, a living will is a document that expresses your desire to have
certain medical treatments and procedures withheld under specified circumstances. The
document may be as broad or as specific as you like and can be customized to express your
wishes. As examples for your consideration, I enclose both the Paul Weiss Living Will and a
New York Living Will (used at my prior law firms).
Please let me know if you wish to have a living will and, if so, whether you would like to
customize either of the enclosed samples.
Alternatively, you may simply chose not to have a living will. It is a highly personal choice.
