Nicole's experience, depth of knowledge and skill belies her youth. She is a much sought after investor and mentor in the international arenas of sport media and new technology ventures working across Europe, Asia and North America. Nicole initiated her business career in 1998 with the establishment of her own online gaming platform business Winamax which she later successfully sold. She played a lead role in the huge success of securing the soccer world cup rights for Germany in 2006 and subsequently became instrumental in the global expansion of Infront, one of the leading Sports Media rights companies in the world. Leveraging off her Infront participation, Nicole progressed to identifying the opportunity to establish and manage the first dedicated sports fund in the world for which she raised circa E250m from investors. I consider Nicole to embody all traits that Young Global Leaders seeks to foster in young and outstanding talent and I believe she will make a valuable addition to Young Global Leaders forum. Please describe the candidate's commitment to serve society at large Nicole has a deep and genuine concern for society, helping others and nurturing peace and forgiveness; formed by her Jewish family background, whom having survived the Holocaust; and later developed through her early involvement in politics and associative life. Nicole's commitment and influence in helping others is primarily and best expressed through her current entrepreneurial endeavours, her belief that sport and new technology promote fair play, self-improvement, respect for others and breaking down barriers, underpin her business and investment decisions and ethos. Nicole gives greatly through her a variety of angel investments, particularly local start- ups; advising local entrepreneurs through traditional means and via online forums; most recently Nicole is currently establishing, in conjunction with the President of Gabon, a business school to foster young entrepreneurs in Africa. This project demonstrates her determination to give back and foster and support the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.
