Hi JEE...
You see the attached? I've been getting pounded over my comments
about Silicon Valley... which were said, basically, in an "idle chit-chat"
conversation about where the reporter lived -- SF -- and why I thought
living there was a good idea. I had no idea that the story would have
much to do with me... I thought it was going to be about CASBS (if I
had known, I would have asked to have that off the record). It's also
got errors of various sorts. I wasn't a SU undergrad, I wasn't proud to
have been at a Dead concert -- I was bemused to have been a *guard*
at one... etc.. Too bad he wouldn't show it to me in proofs. Anyway, I
re-learned an old lesson: Be careful, careful, and careful around reporters,
even ones I like and are very friendly.
