Reserve Your Seats for Upcoming Public Lecture We are pleased to announce that the 2016 Postdoctoral Lectureship Award Winner Aomawa Shields will give a public lecture The Search for Habitable Planets and Life Beyond Our Solar System, on Tuesday, April 5 at 6 PM in the Marston Exploration Theater in Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Building 4 (ISTB4). Dr. Shields will provide an inside look into the ongoing search for another planet in the universe where life exists. She will include an overview of the missions that have provided us with a deeper understanding of the number and types of planets that exist within our galaxy, and discuss the methods astronomers and astrobiologists are employing to answer the question "Are we alone in the universe?" through their primary disciplines and unified efforts across the globe.
