Ms. de Jongh: I thank you for your query into areas that your corporation could possible assist Schneider Regional Medical Center (SRMC). With regards to our Implemented Six Sigma and Lean Strategies they are predicated on reducing waste, improving quality and gaining efficiency and productivity. The focus areas are: Revenue Cycle Supply Chain Management • Emergency Department (ED) Other areas of possible focus are the operating room and staffing productivity across the system. This work is presently assisted by International Capital and Management Company (ICMC) on a pro bono basis. We are also in the process of reestablishing the SRMC Foundation in the fall of 2014. The areas of focus are: PET/CT Imaging for Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute. The Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan is an imaging test that uses a radioactive substance called a tracer to look for disease in the body. PET scan shows how organs and tissues are working. A PET scanner cost is in the range of $200-$500,000. A second aspect of the SRMC Foundation initiative could be the renovation in phases of various inpatient units from semi-private rooms to private-rooms for better patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes. This aspect has cost implications of about $1million. I will also take the liberty of mentioning that there is always capital equipment needs for the organization. Here care a few areas for consideration. They are: • Radiology $38,000 Laboiratory $45,000 • Respitaory $55,000 MKSCHC $ 7,600 I hope this synopis helps. Have a great weeeknd and please advsie if I can be of further assistance. Regards, Dr. Bernard Wheatley CEO Schneider Regional Medical Center EFTA01190409
