We previously discussed how to balance the Trustees' desire to have direction from Leon, on the one hand, and limiting indicia of control, on the other. Subsequently, Ada sent me a proposed Trustees Resolution and Letter, which specifically dealt with two purchases. I have modified the documents to provide a different aproach. Specifically, rather than having Leon provide advice to specific acquisitions, I have drafted a standing letter with general advice that can be relied upon going forward. This letter deals with three specific items: acquisitions of art; providing an opportunity for the children to learn by making investment recommendations; and risk tolerance. As for the resolution, it deals with acquisition of specified works of art. I welcome your thoughts as to whether we have struck the right balance and whether the Trustees will feel comfortable with the more general advice.
