VIRGIN ISLANDS Dear Mr. Epstein, Over the past month, the Jaredian Design Group has been working with you on the expansion of the library of your residence on Little St. James Cay, St. Thomas, U. S. Virgin Islands. At the time of our proposal, the work seemed straight forward os described to us; that is: to extend the existing library by approximately fifteen feet. This process, however, has identified other design issues with the existing house that you now feel is the time to address those other design issues. As such, we hove thus far expended twice as much design time os anticipated in our January 29, 2014 proposal. We originally had anticipated $4,000.00 for Conceptual and Preliminary Design. We have, instead, expended $8,325.00 for those services thus far. We recommend the difference of $4,325.00 be reallocated to the Construction Documents Phase and continue to develop the Preliminary Design on an hourly basis until you feel comfortable with the overall design. At that time, we will determine if the original $6,500.00 for Construction Documents needs to be adjusted. Should you have any questions or comments, please feel free to call on me at 777-1600.
