I have just proved this will NOT repair the issue,. I removed the pressure line and pressurized the system,. even though I cannot hear the Thump,. I did have pressure coming out of solenoid. I have called Gulfstream PSI to set up a travel team to help us,. IF I could get the flaps to at least 20 degrees, I could ferry the plane to palm bch for repairs,. since i"m stuck at 40 degrees,. this isn't possible,. so I have to bring in the experts. since pressure is available thru solenoid,. the next valve is the Flap control valve,. which makes sense,. if this unit is not allowing fluid to retract and only extend,. could by our problem,. much more difficult to change this valve., attached is flap diagram.. thx,.
