From: To: "Jeffrey E." <[email protected]> Subject: your question Date: Sun, 18 May 2014 12:35:37 +0000 Importance: Normal Attachments: Letter toVP_Edwardssent_5.14.14.doc thanks for your comments on our paper > what is the status of the rutgers suspension? i have been suspended without pay since April 1—we are paid every two weeks, so i have now missed three paychecks of —$4300 each—the Vice President said on April 8th when he met with me that he would get back to me in two weeks as to whether 1—they would start paying me again earlier than July 1 and 2—whether they would switch my line to Ecology and Evolution, at which point all the pressure and problems would end on the spot this Tuesday will be four weeks since the day he promised to get back to without doing so so, in short Jeffrey, no sign of movement whatsoever meanwhile they are deciding what to force me to teach or allow me to teach this coming fall it can be quite disheartening but i try to hold my head up-certainly i did the right thing in revealing fraud in my own work, though that set off the problems-and as the attached letter i recently sent to the VP makes clear i would rather have done the sprinting project we did than sit down and master an area i do not master to save the University $4500 to be paid to the woman who invented the course i am in Berlin until this Thursday when i fly back to Jersey—have been mastering the evolutionary biology of cancer—a fascinating area making rapid progress all best wishes in your work and your larger life EFTA01204058
