If Seth already has a discretionary research account, the gifts can simply be added to that existing account, using that fund number. If the preference is to keep this funding discrete, the Recording Secretary's Office (RSO) can provide us with a new fund number; just tell me and I will get it done. (Kathy Vitale in the RSO does that for us.) As to gift language, the donor should indicate that these funds are intended as discretionary research support for Prof. Seth Lloyd. Since the gift is being made in two payments, it's useful to have the donor specify that, along with the date the second payment is to be expected, so that the RSO can make note of the full pledge. How should the donation be processed (direct deposit to what account, check), and how should the description of the donation be phrased?
