Built for Real Research

Features that help you go from question to evidence.

Cited Sources

Every claim shows numbered citation badges. Hover to preview the source. Click to read the full document. Relevance scores show how strong each match is.

Follow-Up Suggestions

After each answer, the AI suggests related questions to help you dig deeper. Click any suggestion to continue your investigation.

File Upload

Attach PDFs, images, CSVs, or text files. The AI reads the content and cross-references it against the database. Supports handwriting recognition for scanned documents.

Evidence Collector

Pin findings from any response. Tag each piece with a confidence level: confirmed, strong, moderate, weak, or unverified. Export or share your evidence board.

Real-Time Thinking

Watch the AI work in real time. See which tools it calls — "Searching documents...", "Tracing connections..." — with elapsed time for each step.

Export & Share

Export your full conversation as Markdown, CSV, or plain text. Share individual findings via link. Save to personal dossiers for ongoing investigations.

Conversation History

All your chats are saved automatically. Pin important conversations, rename them, and pick up right where you left off.

Interactive Visualizations

The AI generates timelines, network graphs, charts, and sortable data tables inline. Expand any visualization full-screen or export the data.

Investigation Memory

The AI remembers your research context across sessions. It builds on previous findings instead of starting from scratch every time.

How the Search Works

Under the hood: a 4-stage retrieval pipeline ensures relevant, accurate results.

1

Intent Classification

AI understands what you're asking — person lookup, document search, financial query, connection path, or general question

2

Hybrid Search

Semantic vectors + BM25 keywords search 308K+ embedded chunks. Multi-query expansion for complex questions

3

Cross-Encoder Reranking

A specialized reranker model scores and filters every result by relevance, removing noise

4

Cited Synthesis

Claude analyzes the top results and writes a clear answer with numbered citations to source documents

For Researchers & Journalists

Source Verification

Every AI-generated claim links back to specific documents with Bates numbers. Internal database results are primary sources; web search results are labeled as external and potentially unverified.

Public API Access

Programmatic access via our REST API with 27 endpoints for documents, persons, flights, emails, and connections.

Data Integrity

SHA-256 hashes verify document integrity. All documents are sourced from official releases (EFTA, DOJ, House Oversight, DocumentCloud).

Evidence Collection

Pin findings with confidence levels, organize into dossiers, and export as structured research memos with full citation chains.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the AI chat free to use?

Yes. The AI research assistant is completely free. You can ask unlimited questions in Research mode. Investigate and Deep Analysis modes use more powerful (and expensive) AI models, so they may have usage limits during peak hours, but there is no paywall.

Where does the data come from?

All documents are sourced from official public releases: the Epstein Flight Tracking Act (EFTA), Department of Justice releases, House Oversight Committee documents, and DocumentCloud. Every document has a SHA-256 hash to verify integrity. The AI never fabricates sources — every citation links to a real document you can read yourself.

How accurate are the AI responses?

The AI searches real documents and cites its sources with relevance scores. You can click any citation to read the original document. However, AI can make mistakes in interpretation, so always verify important claims against the source documents. The system is designed as a research aid, not a replacement for careful analysis.

Can I upload my own documents for analysis?

Yes. Click the paperclip icon to upload PDFs, images, CSVs, or text files (up to 4MB). The AI can read the content and cross-reference it against the Epstein database. For images, the AI uses computer vision to read handwritten notes, scanned documents, or photos.

What's the difference between Research, Investigate, and Deep Analysis modes?

Research mode gives fast answers for simple questions like 'Who is Les Wexner?' Investigate mode runs multi-step investigations, searching multiple databases and building connection chains — ideal for questions like 'How is Person A connected to Person B?' Deep Analysis mode uses the most powerful AI model for complex financial forensics, anomaly detection, and exhaustive investigations.

Can I save and export my research?

Yes. Pin any finding to your Evidence Collector with confidence levels (confirmed, strong, moderate, weak). Export your full conversation as Markdown, CSV, or plain text. If you create an account, you can save findings to persistent Dossiers and share them with others.

What are slash commands?

Slash commands are shortcuts you type in the chat box. For example, type /person Prince Andrew to instantly pull up a person profile, or /connect Bill Clinton to Ghislaine Maxwell to find the shortest connection path. Type / in the chat to see all available commands.

Does the AI search the internet or just the database?

Both. In Investigate and Deep Analysis modes, the AI can search the public internet for news articles and court records, and cross-reference against external databases like ICIJ Offshore Leaks (810K+ entities), SEC EDGAR filings, OFAC sanctions lists, and CourtListener federal court documents. External results are clearly labeled as such.

Ready to investigate?

Ask any question about the Epstein case. The AI will search millions of documents and show you exactly where every answer comes from.
