Case 1:15-cv-07433-RWS Document 751-9 Filed 03/17/17 Page 3 of 3 The women have objected to how U.S. prosecutors handled Epstein's case, and want authorities to reconsider a plea deal that allowed Epstein to avoid much more serious federal charges and potentially longer prison time. Epstein served 13 months of an 18-month sentence after pleading guilty to a single charge of soliciting prostitution before being released in 2009. It was not the first time Prince Andrew has faced media scrutiny over his friendship with Epstein. In July 2011 the royal stepped down from his role as a U.K. trade ambassador after he was photographed with Epstein in New York. Prince Andrew is the second son and third child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He is fifth in line to the British throne behind his older brother Prince Charles, nephew Prince William, grandnephew Prince George, and nephew Prince Harry. The Sunday Mirror reported that Prince Andrew was on a skiing holiday in Switzerland, where he had been staying with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. In a further bizarre twist to the story, prominent attorney Alan Dershowitz, who is also named in the court documents, told the BBC that he is planning legal action against the woman. "If she believes she has been hurt by me and Prince Andrew, she should be suing us for damages," the former Harvard Law professor said. "| welcome that lawsuit. | welcome any opportunity that would put her under oath and require her to state under oath these false allegations." The Associated Press contributed to this report. 2/2

[REDACTED - Survivor] v. Alan Dershowitz – Allegations of Sex Trafficking, NPA Manipulation, and Defamation

[REDACTED - Survivor] v. Alan Dershowitz – Allegations of Sex Trafficking, NPA Manipulation, and Defamation The complaint provides a dense web of alleged connections between Alan Dershowitz, Jeffrey Epstein, former U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta, and the 2008 non‑prosecution agreement (NPA). It cites specific actions (e.g., alleged drafting of the NPA, defamatory statements, settlement confidentiality) and dates that could be pursued for documentary evidence, witness interviews, and financial‑flow analysis. If substantiated, the lead would expose potential prosecutorial misconduct and high‑level collusion, generating major public outrage. Key insights: Roberts alleges she was trafficked by Epstein from 2000‑2002 and forced to have sex with Dershowitz.; Dershowitz is accused of helping draft and pressure the government into the 2008 NPA that shielded Epstein and co‑conspirators.; Acosta, then U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, approved the NPA; later became Trump’s Secretary of Labor.

Women challenge prosecutors' plea deal for Jeffrey Epstein; Prince Andrew and Alan Dershowitz named in related court filings

Women challenge prosecutors' plea deal for Jeffrey Epstein; Prince Andrew and Alan Dershowitz named in related court filings The passage links high‑profile figures (Prince Andrew, a senior British royal, and Alan Dershowitz, a prominent U.S. attorney) to alleged misconduct surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein case and mentions a potential lawsuit that could force testimony under oath. While the details are already public, the reference to a new legal action and the women’s request to revisit the plea deal provide concrete follow‑up steps (court filings, subpoena possibilities). The lead is moderately strong, but not entirely novel, hence a score just below the high‑impact threshold. Key insights: Women plaintiffs are seeking to overturn the 2009 Epstein plea deal that limited federal charges.; Prince Andrew is specifically identified as a person of interest in the allegations.; Attorney Alan Dershowitz is named and has publicly offered to sue the accuser to force testimony.

Court filings reveal alleged links between Jeffrey Epstein’s sex‑trafficking network and high‑profile figures including Prince Andrew and Alan Dershowitz The documents contain multiple sworn statements, media excerpts, and court orders that reference alleged sexual encounters between [REDACTED - Survivor] (Jane Doe 3) and Prince Andrew, as well as accusations against Alan Dershowitz. While many of the claims have been publicly reported, the filing includes sealed exhibits and specific procedural motions (Rule 21/15) that could provide new evidentiary leads, such as the referenced sealed documents and the alleged list of other powerful individuals (politicians, business executives, foreign leaders). The presence of a judge’s order striking certain allegations and the detailed procedural history suggest actionable avenues for further discovery and verification. Key insights: Exhibits list media articles linking Prince Andrew and Dershowitz to alleged sexual abuse of a minor.; Court order strikes detailed allegations but preserves the right of Jane Doe 3 to reassert them with proper evidence.; Reference to a “list of numerous prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well‑known Prime Minister, and other world leaders” in the Rule 21 motion.
