When asked about the incident involving Epstein, informed that he recalled a body alarm going off around 0638-0640 hours. took the elevator and stopped at floor *3 to pick up the lieutenant and food service staff. then went to the medical unit on floor #2 and proceeded to escort outside EMS into the facility. Once EMS was on scene and the decision was made to transport Epstein to the hospital was assigned to follow the ambulance and remain with Epstein. informed that doctors at the hospital pronounced Epstein dead at approximately 0736 hours. notified his superiors and was instructed to remain at the hospital and to wait for the warden and captain to arrive.
