AGREEMENT AND RELEASE The Boise Independent School District and Laura Boulton agree to the following terms and conditions pursuant to her resignation from her teaching position ia the District Its agreed that Ms. Boulton will voluntarily submit her letter of resignation from the District effective July 11, 2024. Ms. Boulton acknowledges that she will not be eligible for any future employment with the Boise School District at any time in any capacity 2. The District has agreed to pay $400,000 to Ms. Boulton within 30 days of the execution of this agreemen! 4. The parties agree not to pursue any action against the other in any forum, including but not limited to a judicial or administrative proceeding, or before any state agency, for any perceived or actual violation of state or federal law, District or State Department of Education policies, or State Board of Education rules, the Negotiated Agreement between the BEA and the Board of Trustees of the Boise School District which may arise or be perceived to arise out of Ms. Boulion’s employment or subsequent voluntary resignation. The waiver includes any right to probation, due process hearing, and/or a grievance related her employment. The parties agree that Ms. Boulton will participate in an executive level committee at the Boise School District whose purpose will be to organize and provide training to teachers on the appropriate boundaries in relationships between students and staff. The committee shall convene within the next two months and Ms. Boulton will be a member of the committee until its conclusion  7. ‘The parties acknowledge that they have entered into this Agreement voluntarily and that they have not been cocreed into signin this Agreement. The parties further acknowledge that they have not been promised anything else in exchange for signing this Agreement other than what is listed herein. 8. The parties agree that the terms of this Agreement are confidential. Ms. Boulton shall be entitled to share the terms of this Agreement with her husband, tax and legal advisors. However, should the District receive a release pursuant to Idaho Code 33-1210, the District shall comply with that release. The parties further understand that this document ‘may be subject to disclosure as a “severance package” under Idaho Code 74-106. 9. Non-disparagement: Boulton and the District mutually agree that they will not, nor have anyone on their behalf or with their consent make any public statement, written or oral, or take any public action that is disparaging about, or that could reasonably be construed as disparaging to any Party. Ms. Boulton agrecs to respond to any inquiry that she has amicably resolved issues with the District and looks forward to working collaboratively with the District. Nothing in this agreement prevents Ms. Boulton from speaking candidly as a part of the executive team or speaking to the District about policies and procedures. Nothing in this Section shal be interpreted to affct the undersigned Pais” obligation to testify truthfully in any judicial or other legal proceedings in which they are required to appear as a witness or to the District's legal duty to comply with Idaho Code Section 33- 1210. 10. The parties acknowledge that they have completely read this Agreement and fully understand and voluntarily accept its terms.
