Dear Mr. Gottinger:
This letter is in final response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated January
7, 2019. Your request sought:
All e-mails sent from or received by any government or personal e-mail accounts
used by the Office of Management and Budget’s Director John M. Mulvaney that
contain the keyword "Allied Progress".
We conducted a reasonable search within the Office of Technology and Innovation for records
that would be responsive to your request. Unfortunately, we were unable to identify or locate
any responsive records at this time.
You should be aware that the FOIA does not require agencies to do research, analyze data,
answer questions, or create records in response to your request. However, you may contact our
Press Office at [email protected] or (202) 435-7857/9151 to request an official
statement or comment from the CFPB.
While an adequate search was conducted, you have the right to appeal this determination that no
records exist within the CFPB that would be responsive to your request. If you choose to file an
appeal, you must do so within 90 calendar days from the date of this letter. Your appeal must be
in writing, signed by you or your representative, and should contain the rationale for the appeal.
You may send your appeal via the mail (address below), email ([email protected]) or
fax (1-855-FAX-FOIA (329-3642)).
