Guidance now is to move forward in the main investigative files (documents) and to not apply redactions to media. That said, we will need our OGC reps to start preparing a second memo specific to the media, i.e. that FBI is providing 1B materials without redaction — and all the associated legal authorities and constraints for awareness. Redacting victims is clear, but other images of unknown or knowns individuals is the area needing guidance. DAD has reached out to DOJ on two separate occasions but has not heard back from her. As mentioned before, we need guidance to redact 1B items. IMD-RIDS is requesting clear and consistent guidance to process 1B Items. There are several boxes that need to be process and the sooner they have clear and consistent guidance the sooner they will start processing those items. 50D-NY-3027571 - 1B Items contain photographs of multiple individuals to include the subjects of this investigation (Epstein and Maxwell). IMD-RIDS needs clear and specific guidance to redact those photographs. Some photographs depict: victims, unknown-unidentified females and males, former U.S. Presidents, Secretary of State, and other celebrities. EFTA01649105 The software does not have IA facial recognition to assist with the identification of some of public officials and celebrities. Please advise how would you like the team to move forward.
