Subject: Epstein Transparency Project Equity Processing Tasking
Classification: UNCLASSIFIED
Good Afternoon,
As discussed please see below tasking and standards summary.
Epstein Transparency Project Equity Processing Tasking
Pursuant to the Attorney General's letter dated February 27, 2025, FBI transferred all Epstein files out of the child sex
trafficking case as well as all related Epstein cases from the New York Field Office to Washington Field Office for review.
Subsequently, Information Management Division (IMD), conducted a complete scan of all Epstein related documents for
dissemination to Department of Justice with potential release to the public.
It was agreed upon by Assistant Director of Information Management Division, Office of General Counsel, Criminal
Investigative Division, and New York executive management, all redactions will be conducted under a hybrid of FBI
Freedom of Information Act and Civil Litigation Standards.
The hybrid redaction standard will consist of 26 category codes within six exemptions. (See attached)
All FBI personnel will receive training by IMD in order to conduct redactions to the agreed upon standard. (See attached
Memo.)
