When the staff was able to revive Epstein he couldn't recall what happened. His cellmate, Nich Tartaglione, denied knowing anything about Epstein's injuries and advised he was sitting on his bunk listening to music on his earphones. Tartaglione is the subject of a C-32 quadruple homicide investigation who has been approved for the death penalty. Epstein was removed from the cell, was evaluated by the medical staff and an investigation has been initiated as per MCC SOPs. Epstein was returned to a cell after being separated from Tartaglione.
