Boston/Dean's for FIRST kicko=f.
Have been (slowly) working to pull a sma=l grant together on "Essential Self Technology." The tech =erson I
chose to collaborate with is super brilliant and also has a lot of=distractions (divorce, death of a parent, job transition...).
Keepin= my eyes open for other techies (strong in hardware & software) =ho have as strong a sense of human side of
this.
Your insights from years ago on rhythms of the body resonate so stron=ly and are so much part of influencing
the nervous system.
Also more and more curious about dance - I think our orient=tion to 21c exercise will shift to include more dance
as it seems to have = strong impact on the nervous system.
AOBio=e is going great guns. The products are amazing - now a line of soaps in a=dition to the probiotic sprays.
Talk in the=next few days? What are you reading? Thinking about?
Xoxo
Are you eatin= cookies these days? Want some for your birthday?

As Bruce Scheier =oted in 2001 in public and internal presentations, just before the collaps= of his
managed monitoring Counterpane Internet Security company, defender= must close every possible security hole
attackers only need to find a goo= one and exploit it successfully. It was almost a restatement of Henry Kis=enger's
analysis of the Vietnam war:
<=r>
We fought a military war; our opponents fought a political one= We sought physical attrition; o=r
opponents aimed for our psychological exhaustion. In the process we lost=sight of one of the cardinal maxims of
guerrilla war: the guerrilla wins if he does not lose. The conventio=al army loses if it does not win.Q=A0The North
Vietnamese used their armed forces the way a bull-fighter uses=his cape — to keep us lunging in areas of marginal
political impor=ance.
<=r>
I think all parti=s focused on improving communications privacy and security for the masses =eeds to
look beyond an Internet dependent on easily monitored commercial e=changes and mobile carriers. They have to think
like the Vietnamese though=. Make no mistake this is a war.
