Sent: Monday, February 22, 2016 5:11:05 PM Subject: editor From: Lisa New To: Jeffrey Epstein <jeevacation©gmail.com> I asked my associate director to look harder at the numbers for an editor for Poetry of Art, Sport and Play, trying out the idea that we'd hire someone we pay less than our current two editors. And I asked her to subtract the costs for server space that the content this new editor would create would take up. So I cut 20k off by hiring a cheaper editor and worrying about server space later. Were at 110 for an editor for the year, if the editor is employed in part through Harvard, which—as this work would be to create and distribute content that is cobrandcd (by Verse Video Education and Harvard)-- is desirable. Harvard is starling to really like this project, and I'd like to keep some of all strictly educational work I do under their umbrella. . At a yearly salary of 70K split between I laniard and Verse Video Education (rather than the 80 we now pay), 30K of it through Harvard, Leah provides this run down 30K salary from FAS 10K taxes from FAS +15% FAS overhead w 6K =46K total to WE 40K salary from WE 15K taxes from VVE 10K editing station =65K total to VVE wl 1 1K total to FAS+VVE partnership Hiring an editor as a part time contractor has gotten tricky now that my editors are working full time. Harvard basically won't do it. I have to hire I larvard employees as part time (salaried, taxed employees). If there were no taxes and benefits. I could hire editors as contractors through VV, for 70K plus 10k for an editing station. But it's tricky finding/training one person someone who has the intelligence to edit this content much less two . But here are Leah's numbers for that Entirely through VVE (Freelance contract work for Art, Sport, Play): 70K for project over the course of a year 10K editing station =80K total donation to VVE All this said, 100K divided between Harvard and VVE would be hugely helpful in getting this project on solid footing for next year. 75K to VVE would leave some more to raise, but I'd be close.
