You have to open the grain by using the steel brush. Oak is very hard wood and the only way to open the grain is with steel wire brush, than it will come alive. This week, all I have to do is apply the topical finish, which does not take much time. The preparation takes time. I am working on the horizontal surfaces and cabinet doors now and I will finish them tomorrow. I will check everything and Friday I will do the touch ups.
