Sent: lialia2015 12:46:43 PM From: To: [email protected] Subject: fyi neighbor HOME > NEWS > LOCAL Updated: 10.53 p.m. Monday, Apnl 27, 20151 Posted: 6:47 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 El Brillo Way house sells for recorded $15.5M Preliminary posting on the county clerk's website doesn't reveal buyer. 0 11 0 21 By Darrell Hofheinz Daily News Real Estate Writer On the market for a little more than a year, an Estate Section house built in 1992 and facing the Lake Worth Lagoon at 353 El Brillo Way has changed hands for about $15.5 million, according to preliminary information viewable Monday afternoon on the Palm Beach County Clerk's website. The buyer's identity was not immediately available. A couple of streets south of the Everglades Golf Course, the house was owned by Ellen M. Cunningham and homesteaded in her name, according to property records. She was married to businessman John F. Cunningham, who died in 2013 at 70 and had ties to Greenwich, Conn., and Osterville and Nantucket, Mass. Broker Lawrence Moens of Lawrence A. Moens Associates had listed the house for sale in March 2014 and had it priced at $21.5 million when it sold, according to records in the Multiple Listing Service. The property measures about eight-tenths of an acre with about 175 feet of waterfront, property records show. Moens couldn't be reached Monday and MLS records did not show whether another agency handled the buyer's side of the sale. Moens' listing described the property as "a very special lakefront compound on a large private parcel." The Mediterranean-style house — with separate guest and staff areas — offers 10,165 square feet of living space, inside and out. In all, there are five bedrooms, according to the sales listing. Along with neighboring roads El Bravo Way and El Vedado Road, El Brillo Way is considered a prime Estate Section street because of the historic character of the neighborhood and its secluded, in-town location. The Cunninghams paid $1.8 million for the property in 1989, according to property records. EFTA_R1_00038600 EFTA01745701
