We weren't able to get the cash for our house in Australia transferred before the exchange rate dropped well below .87 USD per AUD. It is now around .8-.81. We have $425K AUD there.. want to transfer eventually here to invest and also pay down some fraction of our US mortgage. Not in an urgent rush. Suggestions? I think the money is earning 4% or so in AUD while it sits there... Should we move it and take the 10% hit since Nov on the exchange rate, keep it there looking for an uptick, move it to some other intermediate currency that may rise?
