From: Ian Fitzpatrick Sent: Friday, March 24, 2017 5:39 PM To: Northrop and Johnson Duncan Bray Cc: Capt. Dave Johnson; Myla Chief Stew Subject: Re: crew, Mfi Adler Hi Duncan, Thanks for getting back to me. As I mentioned we need to fill a junior stewardess position promptly, prior to our departure for the Bahamas on Thursday next week (30th March). I have cc'd this to my Captain (Dave Johnson) and Chief Stewardess (Myla Trestiza) and you can forward cv's of potential candidates to both of them rather than me please Please also advise the Captain of how you charge for services rendered, before moving forward, as The Adler is also subscribed to another crew agency and the Captain wishes to avoid double billing for potentially same candidates from different agencies. Marcy introduced me to the two young ladies operating the bar at your recent crew networking event. I understand they were looking for work. They seemed very pleasant. You can confirm the details more with the Captain and Chief Stewardess but I understand we are looking for someone relatively new to the industry, or with maybe a season's experience. We are a completely private boat - no charters at all - and we operate two longer trips a year. This year they will be approximately six weeks each. Both of these will be in the Bahamas this year. The rest of the time we are based in Fort Lauderdale, essentially in yard period. The owners of the boat are wonderful people to work for • and the longevity of the crew is a testament to that. In the Bahamas we spend that time at anchor at one location in the Exumas Land and Sea Park, so it is remote. We are a small crew (7 total). There are no bars to go ashore to and no other people around except for the occasional small sailing yacht. The candidate should be comfortable and not feel like they've been "abducted" in this type of situation, and be comfortable working in this type of situation. Internet bandwith available to the crew varies depending on how much is used by the guests, but as a rule there is no streaming of music or movies. There is a VoIP line available for the crew to use rather than Skype. EFTA_R1_00154408 EFTA01806662 ON the other hand it is perfectly acceptable in breaks to go ashore to swim or snorkel, or sunbathe at some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. There are two stand-up paddleboards available for use also. Given the small size of the crew it is difficult to cater to individual food preferences and allergies, especially since much of the forward provisioning has already been completed. Any candidate should appreciate a wide range of proteins and vegetables. That noted, crew meals are healthy, made fresh from base ingredients and draw from a wide range of food styles/cuisines. I hope that helps you a bit in consideration of potential candidates. Kind regards, Ian Fitzpatrick 2 EFTA_R1_001 54409 EFTA01806663
