Dear Jeffrey,

I enjoyed talking with you on Saturday, when I was over at Al's place. (I
don't usually get introduced to people via unscheduled telephone call, or
with such lively conversation, so thank you, Al.)
I take it you follow advances in evolution theory, something near and dear
to my heart, but are smart enough not to be an academic (and spend the
whole day every day on it). That's probably what lets you get right to
the good questions and makes ties to other fields.
If there is any further information I can provide on breeding molecules
and microbes, or some of the cool things you can do if you understand
evolution, do let me know.
Cheers,
Frances
