To: jeevacation mail.com[[email protected]] From: Sent: e : :34 AM South Ocean estate fetches $11.05M By Darrell Hofheinz Daily News Real Estate Writer Updated: 6:58 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22. 2011 Posted: 6:55 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011 A contemporary-style house directly on the ocean in the Estate Section has changed hands for about $11.05 million, according to a warranty deed recorded Friday. Linda Gary of Linda A. Gary Real Estate Inc. represented seller Edward G. Watkins, who in 2009 transferred ownership of the 6,322-square-foot house at 1067 S. Ocean Blvd. to a limited liability company. Gary also represented the buyers, listed on the Feb. 17 deed as Richard and Lisa Perry. The one-story home — which overlooks 145 feet of beachfront — in 1985 at the time of its construction as a 'spec' house developed by the late Robert Gottfried, Gary said. Gottfried built it and the house directly to its north on land owned by late car dealer Roger H. Dean, she added. Watkins paid $2.9 million for the property, according to county property records. Gary had last listed the house with an asking price of $13.9 million. 'It was an excellent buy,' Gary said. "It's a solidly built house with high ceilings. It also has an unusually high elevation for that area: EFTA_R1_00217578 EFTA01836633
