Subject: Re: Flag Pole Pool Shading Structures
Tom. This is a hurricane environment. Columns of cement or strong metal . Not in the pool. The
wind must be dealt with bythe landscape . This has to have a continuity with the entire island
PLEASE . Have a landscape person in your office look at terracing berming wind proof plantings
. Your drawingsudt include a topo a hundred feet in every direction . It is not s subdivision
Sorry for all the typos .Sent from my iPhone

Jeffrey,
Here are some images for the design of the shade structures for
your pool near the Flag Pole.
The first two are ones you sent us for inspiration.
The next two shows what this would look like next to your pool.
Proportions and size still need to be worked out.
The rest of them are images we pulled to solicit more input from
you;
1)
Do you want these to be open trellis and/or solid panels?
2)
The images you sent us show wood trellises, do you prefer
wood?
3)
Examples show canvas cover, metal covers, retractable
covers, any preferences?
4)
Do you prefer a flat cover of a pitched cover?
5)
We found trellises constructed out of vinyl, may not be as
authentic looking but perhaps durable in this climate.
6)
The model shows three separate pergolas on either side,
would you want more or less? Size?

7)
Do you want the columns to go into the water? Just as the
first two images.
We may not have enough width for this detail with only 21'.
Let us know your thoughts so can proceed with the design of
these trellises.
We welcome any images you may have.
Thanks,
Tom
