Im thinkg of having the lawyers ( dersh etc. ) put out a statement or an op-ed piece„ thoughts,
I. That the media has mischaracterized the offenses, that after a thorough investigation, JE plead
guilty to - there was no reference to being a pedophile and the tabloids tales of "school girls" is
misleading - instead, the evidence showed a pattern of girls, many over 18, some under,
exchanging massages for money and that the girls under 18 were regularly told to assure JE that
they were 18 to even gain admittance to his house
2. That the media has focused on just one slice of JE life. That he is a generous philanthropist
and brilliant professional with loyal friends and colleagues whose relationship with him has
nothing to do with women
3. That our criminal justice system is based on finality and on encouraging people who made
mistakes to suffer a single punishment, and then to have a chance at a new life. JE has paid that
price for his past. There is absolutely no allegation of any conduct after 2005, and most of it was
long before.
4. They deal exclusively with conduct over 6 and often over 10 years old
5. That the articles appear to rely on information obtained by civil plaintiffs lawyers, some of
whom continue to seek monetary advantages from a media campaign against JE.
6. That the dangers of media excess arc best illustated by the fact that one of the civil lawyers
who was seeking financial benefits from JE is now serving a 50 year sentence for racketeering and
fraud based in part on fabricating information about civil cases involving fabrcated epstein related
cases.
