Dear Martin, if I may,
As it happens, I am participating in a workshop at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced
Studies, if I have the name right, organized by Stephen Greenblatt in English at
Harvard, on April 12-13 (on life history from biological and literary perspectives),
and I am also involved in a grant application from BBN Technologies in
Cambridge into the neuroscience of narrative. So I'd be very happy to meet you
and talk at your institute.
I would also be very interested in doing research together, although I am supposed to be
focusing my energies on completing a biography of Karl Popper (I sec you arc
from Vienna and UV) for the next three years.
This has to be very brief as a conference I am organizing will kick off in just over an hour!
Best,
Brian

Dear Professor Boyd
I am reading with great interest your book,
On the Origins of Stories.
I am also studying evolution, mostly from
a mathematical perspective. I am very interested

in evolution of cooperation and human language.

I wonder if you have any plans to visit the US
and if I could invite you to visit my institute
at Harvard University and to give a seminar
on your fascinating work?
I would very much like to learn from you and
to explore the possibility of common research.
Best wishes
