The sentiment behind your advice is always 'you're screwed, give up.' Would you listen to that? You must not realize the effect Your words have on people. I am doing my best to ignore the emotional battering but I too have a breaking point. Think about what you are saying. Do you actually want me to give up? I am asking you to please stop.
